Study Plan - Study Guide

I am posting a study plan for each of the chapter. The plan is of 20 days in which first 10 days is for study of the lesson and next 10 days is for revision and solving problems. A candidate must be able to master the chapter in these 20 days by solving every question and problem in the HC Verma text book. By taking a target of 3 chapters in each month for the detailed study 10 days each chapter, candidates can complete each text or one year's portion during the period May to December.

Blog status

I started revising the study guides of each chapter by providing a 20 days schedule for the first time study and revision of the chapter. I posted the schedule for the first chapter today. I plan to do similar posting for all the chapters.

Blogging or Study - Priority

Between blogging and study, my priority is study. My fluency in the subject has to go up with every effort that I am making. I have a private family commitment and blogging enhances that commitment through a public commitment. My relearning process has to result in some useful material, which is of some benefit in the learning process for IIT aspirants.

IIT JEE Physics Notes

I started my serious relearning effort in May 2007. The first post that I made in this blog was on 16th May 2007. I started the post with a prayer to Ganesha, and the project has progressed till now.

Now I can feel happy that I studied the JEE syllabus more or less fully and I am in a position to explain the various lessons to my child if she needs my help apart from her lectures at the Junior college and further lectures at IIT coaching class.
I started posting some points in the blogs to confirm to myself that I really studied various chapters. Fortunately, these notes are found to be useful by many others, judging by the visits to the blogs.

I presently started model problems blogs for each subject so that I go through some problems in each subject. While these blogs may not be comprehensive at this point of time, because I am not writing them with that objective, substantial amount of material is put into these blogs. I can definitely improve them to provide a more comprehensive material may be after July 2009.

Study Guide and Formula Revision Posts

In this blog, I am posting two types of material.

One study guides on each chapter of the book H C Verma. I am giving the JEE syllabus relevant to the chapter, contents of the chapter, a brief on the concepts covered in the chapter and JEE questions from the chapter.

In the formula revision posts, the formulas given in each chapter are being collected for a quick reference and revision.

I am myself now reading first, then spending time on doing some problems and then do the posting. Currently I am putting a target of 31st May 2008 for completing all the chapters.

IIT JEE Study of Physics

As I have brought my Chemistry study to some stage, I started looking at physics once again. I am trying to write down formulas of each chapter in a notebook first. That way I read the chapter fully. It may take two days for each chapter. I may start the posting the formulas for revision purpose in this blog. Along with it I plan to go through problems/questions of past JEEs and update the study guides with them.

Ganeshaya Namah

I start this blog with prayers to Ganesha. For quite some time, the first thing I try to do after coming to consciousness from sleep it to chant prayer. I believe one prayer should take care of all activities of the day. Still praying as many times as time permits would add to our fulfilment in our spiritual component of life/journey/endeavour.
